Magnetic South - Four Star Trio

Seventeen years after The Square Triangle comes the Four Star Trio's second CD, Magnetic South. The priorities haven't changed: tuneful dance music played with spirit, the close combination of box and fiddle enhanced by tasty guitar and bouzouki accompaniment, a few songs, and a heavy bias towards the music of Sliabh Luachra, not only in slides and polkas, but also in reels and jigs. Johnny McCarthy (fiddle, flute, whistles, vocals), Con Fada O Drisceoil (accordion, melodeon, piano, vocals) and Pat Herring Ahern (guitar, bouzouki, ukulele) enjoy their music, and this enjoyment is conveyed to the listener.
