This is the first of a large number of Scottish titles we intend to offer over the next few years. Alan Lomax recorded this collection of traditional songs and tunes from many parts of Scotland in the summer of 1951. Included are examples of virtually all types of Scottish music ranging from waulking songs to pipe tunes and ballads.
