Petticoat Loose - Mary McPartlan

Petticoat Loose has been a developmental idea over a period of two years. The essence of the album is a series of collaborations where the material now represents 50% of the work. It represents Mary's close associations with many high profile artists in the traditional music world, her work in the National University of Ireland Galway, her lifelong friendship with Vincent Woods and her ongoing musical collaboration with Seamie O'Dowd. \r\n

Mary McPartlan's second CD Petticoat Loose was launched on February 21 at the Liberty Hall Theatre, Dublin.\r\n

Great to hear that Mary McPartlan made Colin Irwin's compilation of Top 10 Folk releases of 08.\r\nThe Best of 08 Folk appears in the current issue of MOJO, the UK's most prestigous mainstream music magazine.\r\n\r\n
