\r\nTrasna Na dTonnta - John Gannon, Maureen Creighan, John Blake & Colm Gannon \r\n

"Traditional Music and Songs from Connemara, played on the Melodeon and Button accordion by father and son, John and Colm Gannon. John was born in Droim, Leitir Mor, Connemara and emigrated to the US and settled in Dorchester, Massachussettes where his son Colm was born and raised. John comes from a musical family. Two songs are featured on this album by John's sister Maureen Creighan, may she R.I.P. The album is accompanied by the great piano/guitar playing of John Blake from London. John McEvilly says: With melodeon and accordion, John and Colm pull and draw notes out of a tune in a deeply expressive, meaningful and musical way that is truly special. Their playing has the lonesome touch of an emigrant's music that has travelled Trasna na dTonnta, across the Atlantic waves, from Conamara to Boston and back. \r\n
