The tunes are played slowly but not too slowly\r\n\r\nand they never loose Seamus wonderful lift.\r\n\r\n\r\n

This CD is a purely auditory tutorial of a compilation of sets with\r\n\r\nintroductions naming the tunes, which are played by a renowned fiddle\r\n\r\nplayer at a learnable and listenable pace.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Seamus Creagh is excellent Irish traditional fiddle player and is one of the most respected fiddle players in Ireland. He is originally from Westmeath, but now resides in Cork. His relaxed style has brought him to international prominence, particularly his duets with Jackie Daly and Aidan Coffey. He has recorded material for TV, radio and films and has also recorded with, Jackie Daly, Colm Murphy (An Bodhran), Paddy Keenan ( Na keen Affair), Tom's O Cainnin (Irish Airs) and Tickle Harbour (Newfoundland band) among others. Seamus has toured extensively in Europe, Canada, the USA, Asia and Ireland.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n

Seamus Creagh has a beautiful style which is considered as Sliabh Luachra (an area on the Cork/Kerry border). He has unquestionably superb technique, subtle ornamentation and has a delightful lift to his playing. His expressive playing captures the uaigneas (loneliness) which is an integral part of truly tradition Irish music.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n
